Preparations for Chile

Between now and February when I depart for Chile, I'll be convincing as many people as I can to visit me (or at the very least stay in close contact), receiving my city/school placement, applying to get a visa, working to get certified to teach English in the 100 hour TEFL program, researching about Chile along with surrounding countries, and purchasing a plane ticket. I'll probably be living in Santiago and more than likely will be teaching at a high school or college level as a paid employee. It's estimated that I'll be teaching about 15-22 hours a week for 10 months, and I'll have a 2 week vacation between June and July. After the 10 months, I'll probably be extending my stay a tad so that I make sure to visit a all of Chile, parts of Argentina, Peru and other countries if tangible, while I'm in the southern hemisphere. ¡Please please please stay in contact by visiting, emailing, skyping, calling, and posting comments on here!

EDIT: I've received my placement in Santiago at a college!! "You will be working with DuocUC, a system of technical community colleges associated with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. You have been placed to teach at DuocUC, Plaza Vespucio in Santiago. Information about all sedes (sites), including yours, can be accessed by visiting this link (please be patient- this is a large file and may take a moment to open) http://www.ciee.org/enrollment/enr/teach/Chile2010/DuocUC_2010%20Brochure.pdf "
